Tanzania safari weather in May

Kindly let me know what kind of clothing you recommend for women going to Serengeti, Ngorongoro,Grumeti and Arusha in May ?
Does it get cold in the morning and at night?
We will be flying from Arusha-Serengeti.
Pl. let me know ASAP.

Rain gear. It could be very, very, very wet. Bring Gortex jacket and warm clothes, no shorts needed in May. Day time could be warm (but still wet). There is a weight limit for those interior flights. You travel agent or whomever you booked your safari with should give your all the information. If he/she didn't I would look for another supplier

It was so cold at the rim of the Ngorongoro in September (daytime) that we were using sleeping bags as coats. I wouldn't expect it to be too warm there in May either. I was glad I took my Gortex jacket with a hood.
