AllenJ - You really shouldn't put your email out there, as you might find spammers on your front door.

Unfortunately Fodor's doesn't have a "private message" capability as does Trip Advisor.

Best to post an email address as:
aj dot palmer at mindspring dot com

This way they can't search on your actual address.

Reminder for the future.

First .... a thank you to all who helped us plan this trip, lots of great advise. THANKS

We leave in a few weeks and here is the final itinerary – any last mintue suggestions or things a special interest that we should do or look out for.

There are 4 of us going and we made the arrangements through Africa Travel Resource - we worked with Lenny. So far no problems let's hope it all stays that way.

On our last day we fly from the Mara to Arusha and land about noon and leave at 8:30pm from JRO. Any suggestions what to do during that time. We will have a car and driver.

I will post a trip report upon our return.

1/26 Fly KLM out of San Francisco to Amsterdam to Kilimajro
1/27 Arrive Arusha – Rivertrees
1/28 Rest or Arusha NP depends how beat we are from the trip - Rivertrees
1/29 Tarangire – Oliver’s Camp
1/30 Tarangire – Oliver’s Camp (night drive)
1/31 Ngorongoro – Lemala Ngorongoro Camp
2/01 Ngorongoro – Lemala Ngorongoro Camp
2/02 South-central Serengeti – Olduvai Camp
2/03 South-central Serengeti – Olduvai Camp
2/04 South-west Serengeti – Lemala Ndutu Camp
2/05 South-west Serengeti – Lemala Ndutu Camp
2/06 South-west Serengeti – Lemala Ndutu Camp
2/07 Serengeti –Lemala Ewanjan Camp
2/08 Serengeti –Lemala Ewanjan Camp
2/09 Fly to Serengeti Mara – Sayari Mara Camp
2/10 Serengeti Mara – Sayari Mara Camp
2/11 Serengeti Mara – Sayari Mara Camp
2/12 Fly to Arusha – travel back to California

Again, thank you all for your time, knowledge and mostly your patience with all my questions. Allen palmer

On last day, arriving Arusha 12N, and not departing for home till evening... suggest you get a 'dayroom' somewhere. Otherwise, what are you doing all those hours?

Gives you time to freshen up, repack your bags, have an early dinner.

If you prefer not to be in Arusha where there are many hotel options and you can get out to do last-minute shopping, consider the KIA Lodge at JRO airport. Located right outside the airport (they'll do your short 2/min. transfer to/from airport). You'd then on the 12th, fly from Sayari (Kogatende airstrip) via Arusha to JRO.
