Tanzania e-visa
 

Any folks been to Tanzania recently? Any issues with getting an e-visa ahead of time? Or easy enough to get the visa on arrival? The website doesn't seem to be working well - I'm running into the same error issues around payment. Other forums suggest getting visa on arrival. Thanks all!

This post might be a bit old, but the question is still very relevant. I recommend getting a visa on arrival – it’s usually the easiest and most hassle-free option. The e-visa system often has issues (especially with payment), and it doesn’t really offer any advantage over getting it at the airport. With visa on arrival, you can skip the frustration of the online process and just get it done smoothly when you land.

Can you use a credit card if you get your visa on arrival?

Not yet when we were there in August of last year, although there were VISA and MASTERCARD signs on the ticketing window.

you need cash for visa on arrival but IMO a better option to e-visa
