take binocs on Nile Cruise ?

We like to travel as light as possible but I'm considering taking a pair of good binoculars for our Nile Cruise. Do you spend many dailight hours cruising between destinations and would binoculars add to the experience ?

I don't know about the daylight hours, but I take my binoculars now on every trip and never regret it. They don't need to be huge.

We did not miss our binoculars on the Nile Cruise. You will certainly be cruising during daylight hours and it is very relaxing watching the landscape go by. Besides the millions of palmtrees, the sand of the desert and a few small villages there is nothing so special to see that you would need your binoculars.

On our Nile cruise five years ago, we did have our binoculars but I don't even recall using them. By all means, bring a small one as it may come in handy. However, between the times you go ashore to visit a temple or a souk, you would probably end up just watching the scenery go by or taking a nap when the sun and temperature are at their peak.
