st Trip to East Afrrica - Campi Ya Kamzi

My wife are leaving this June for our first visit to Africa and we will be starting out at Campi Ya Kanzi for a few days. Has anyone ever spent time there? I would like to hear about it. Thanks!

Hi timbo-
Divewop spent three nights there - see her report at
http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...4&tid=34579619
She is an active participant on the board so I am sure you will hear from her!
I haven't come across any more in the trip report index - but here is the link to the index in case you need somewhere else

Lynda-thanks for posting the old trip report.

Timbo, here I am and ready to answer any questions about CYK you might have.

How many nights are you staying? And just out of curiosity, where else are you going?

I gotta say though, I am a little biased because I have befriended the owners and appreciate everything they are trying to accomplish with the Masaai Foundation.

Ask to stay in the Kilimanjaro tent. It's got a great view of Kili from your Veranda.

The tents are eco-friendly and the camp is operated mainly on solar-power.

Expect great food and great service and a great time with the owners, Luca and Antonella and their daughter, Lucrezia.

Anything specific you would like to know, just ask.
