South African Wine country- need advice

My husband and I are going in June. We want to stay in 3 places, with a good mix of luxury and charm. Please comment on these, and give any advice on other favorites. Thank You!
Stellenbosch: Lanzarac, Spier
Franschook: La Couronne, Le Quartier Francais, Cathbert Country Inn
Constantia: Cellars-Hohenhurt

Hi Linda,

In response to your comments call:

Lanzerac - Upmarket and very nice to stay at but definitely not the best value for money in the Stellenbosch area

Spier - Good quality but rather poorly positioned relative to Stellenbosch. Very commercial establishment - Lacks warmth

La Couronne - Awfully smart and very posh. Not worth it in my opinion relative to other establishments like Klein Olifantshoek

Le Quartier Franscais - High qulity acommodation that comes at a huge rip off price.

Cathbert Country Inn. - ABSOLUTELY STUNNING the best venue on your list and a must stay place. This venue is pure Nirvana

Cellars Hohenhort - Not really a wine country type place but nice to stay at and very upmarket.

Linda you have chosen the venues that most people stay at in that they are the most advertised.

May I also recommend some unkmnown little gems.

Franschhoek
-----------
Klein Olifantshoek http://www.kleinoliphantshoek.com/
Phenomenal Cuisine that goes with good accommodation

Stellenbosch
------------
Labri Manor

Quaint Victorian House - Good accommodation as well as good value for money

Cape Town
---------
Glen Avon Guest lodge

Fabulous place to stay that also specialises in wonderful home cooking.

Hope all of the above helps.

Enjoy our wonderful country when you visit us in June.

Thank you so much! I've had a lot of trouble finding good recommendations even though I've scoured the Internet! We met a fine fellow from Cape Town who suggested this area to us. I had the same feelings about several places. Cathbert, I'm definitely sold on! Thanks for your other suggestions- I will look and research.
