South African tour operators

Hello again. I am looking for a few names of fabulous South African tour operators who plan trips to Zimbabwe. I much prefer giving my $ to folks in Africa rather than in the States and have it trickle down to the africans.....Pls help! Thanks

Hello Bushwoman2002,
Zimbabwe is a fabulous option for a safari holiday in Southern Africa, just recently there has been renewed confidence and a re-awakening in the country.
Zimbabwe offers good value, amazing wildlife and outstanding wilderness, awesome people, experienced guides, a new international airport at Victoria Falls (Emirates is 'rumoured' to be the main airline), and new lodges and upgrades by some of the best wildlife operators in the industry (Wilderness Safaris and &Beyond).
This all equates to a good choice, especially when considering guests can now fly directly into the country, with no need to be routed via Johannesburg.
If you would like to contact one of my hugely knowledgeable and experienced colleagues, they would be delighted to provide you more information and assist you with your planning.

Happy Planning and Happy Travels,
Debbi - Travel Guru at Southern Destinations (Cape Town)

I really enjoyed working with Chris Worden at Zambezi in Victoria Falls for our 2012 trip. You can contact him at [email protected] The entire office there is wonderful to work with.

You might want to ask (if you include Victoria Falls) if Charles Brighten, of the Victoria Falls Anti-Poaching Unit still takes people out for half a day to learn how they are fighting poaching efforts in the national parks. It was one of the most interesting things we've ever done while traveling, and certainly a good substitute for the flashy "thrill" tourist activities centered in Vic Falls.

sorry - an auto correct typo, Charles Brightman-- is the man's name!

I've taken two trips to Southern Africa, and am planning a third, with the help of a CapeTown agency, Southern Destinations. I cannot speak highly enough of them. Zimbabwe is one of their specialties.
