South Africa, Sabi Sands: Elephant Plains or Chitwa Chitwa?

We are starting to put together a 2-week trip to South Africa for November 2003 and I have been reading guidebooks and researching accommodations for game viewing in & near Kruger. We will probably spend 3-4 nights in the park itself (probably at Oliphants, Lower Sabie, Satara, Skukuza, Bateleur, or a combination), then go to one of the private reserves nearby for a few more days. Unfortunately some of the higher-priced accommodations are out of the question -- we need to keep it under around 1250 R/$150 US per person per night including meals & game viewing. Has anyone stayed at Chitwa Chitwa Safari Lodge or Elephant Plains in Sabi Sands Game Reserve? Wondering how the guides are, how comfortable the accommodations are, how the food is, etc.

We are still trying to decide between these two & are having difficulty finding reviews of either one. Anyone? Given the way the dollar is tanking I'm leaning toward Elephant Plains...

Lisa,
You should also look at Djuma Bush Lodge and Jock Safari Lodge. They both look pretty nice and I do know that Djuma does have a very large land holding. I am most likely going to stay at Djuma's new lodge, Vuyatela, in June. Vuyatela is about $520 ($260 per person) USD per night total.

I forgot to mention that you can probably stay at Jock Safari Lodge and Djuma Bush Lodge for about $175 per person per night ($350 per night total).
