South Africa choice between Thula Thula or Nambiti
 

Hello fellow Fodorites, I have a confession to make: I don't really care much for 5 star private game parks. There it is, out in the open. However, my husband and I have, very kindly and generously, been invited by my brother in law, who lives in South Africa, to join him and his wife on a safari trip.
I have been to South Africa on numerous occasions since 1974 so the country is not new to me, in fact I probably know it better than I do my own.

I have read The Elephant Whisperer by Lawrence Anthony (which is about Thula Thula). My brother in law has suggested Nambiti. Those of you out there who know both, please give me some sort of indication of the difference (if there is any). From looking at the website I get the impression that Thula Thula is more genuine, less about sundowners and "having to see the big five" and all that. And then there is of course the story of Lawrence Anthony. Looking forward to responses!
