Solo traveler in morocco

I recently got divorced and plan to take a trip this summer alone to southern spain. While there I want to spend 3 to 4 days in Marocco. Even though I am a man, is it safe to travel there unaccompanied?

I am female and always travel alone. I will be making my third trip to Morocco in April, again alone.

I have found Morocco to be a very safe place, though the salesmen and "guides" can get a bit bothersome. A smile and a sense of humor is about all I find is necessary.

Marakech, Essouira, and Fez would be my choices for a first trip. Casablanca is just another big city to me. But if you need a Starbucks or McDonald's "fix" it is the city for that.
Tangier and the northern part are not places I have visited, so can not speak of safety in regards to them. Though I imagine with a bit of awareness of your surroundings you should be just fine.

Mostly leave your worries home and have fun.
