This whole thing is just absurd! And no, I don't get why you're making such a big deal out of it.
My screen name will remain as is, until I decide to change it.
And if you had no intention of discussing it with me, then why raise the issue to begin with?!
We'll just have to agree to disagree so please let it go.
I'm so over this non-discussion.

Getting back to the fun of screen names..........., and travel in Africa........,
Jess215,
My itinerary in Tanzania is:
Arusha--Hatari Lodge 2 nites
Ngorongoro Crater--Sopa Lodge 2 nites
Loliondo--Suyan 3 nites
Serengeti--Olakira 3 nites
Lake Manyara--Tree Lodge 2 nites
Arusha--Kia Lodge (day room before leaving for airport)
We're going with Kiliwarriors so I just left it up to Eben and now I'm getting more excited each day. Beginning to obsess about packing.

Sounds wonderful! A couple there when I was were blessed with a cape buffalo looking in their window at the Ngorongoro Sopa - the rest of us weren't so rewarded - great views, though,

My screen name means rain in the tswana language, or so I was told, and I liked the earthy simplicity of it. Unfortunately, from my point of view, it's also the name of the money in Botswana. How I missed that I really don't know. It isn't the connotation I had in mind, but there you go. ;-)

Am thinking of changing my name to Hakuna Duma -- in honor of the cheetah that everybody in my vehicle saw -- except me! I told our guide about Nyamera's name, and then he gave some of us names, based on the animal we reminded him of -- he dubbed me a cheetah (small and fast) but I still did not manage to see one. Guess I'll have to go back.......

Pula,
I think your name also means 'plenty' and 'abundance' and, basically, 'all good things' in Setswana. I may be wrong as I'm not sure where I read this!
I picked 'wingi' from my Swahili dictionary as it seemed to be the closest equivalent (but it probably isn't, as I was guessing!) I have been trying to learn Swahili, but I have made poor progress.
'Wingi' is also a pun on various nicknames I've had over the years, as well as being close-ish to my real name.
