Snow in South Africa?

I just heard on a news about heavy snow in SA. Any Fodorite there expierences snow right now? We suppose to go next week

i beleive the snow is mainly in the eastern cape (near east london) and the boland (ceres). you could try a weather web site and plug in the places you are going to.

Two SA news websites that carry the stories are: www.news24.com and www.iol.co.za.

Cala, Ugie, Elliot, Indwe and Barkly East and surrounds in the Eastern Cape have been declared disaster areas due to the heavy snow falls.

In most of the country it is REALLY cold now at night but the days are better - depending on where you are.
