Absolutely stunning photos. I particularly like the aerial shots, especially the lone croc on the island. The composition, texture and perspective is just outstanding. Thanks for sharing.

Matt,
I used my 200mm-400mm F4 + 1,4 converter. Most of the pictures are uncropped. You can come very close to some of the kingfishers (less than half a meter)- also the first bridge between Jacana and Kwetsani is a fantastic spot for close-up birding: I remember several drives that we just drove to the bridge and spent the entire morning there. For the martial eagle in flight, I waited for 90 minutes before it took off.
Calo,
My favorites ones are the elephants crossing the Gomoti (Chitabe),the swamp boubou (because it's quite difficult to take a decent shot of this bird) and the two male cheetahs resting on a little mount after travellin' and huntin' all of the day.

Johan,
After five years working with the Sigma 50-500 i have decided to go a step forward and just bought a 200-400 f-4 with the 1,4 converter also.
I wanted to asked you what kind of support do you use for this lens in the vehicles.
With the Bigma i used a beanbag and a monopod with a ball head , but this lens is bigger and heavier so i would like to know your opinion.
Thanks.
Paco.
