Awe inspiring as always!! Tremendous capture of wild dog interaction and warthogs mating with the approaching elephant was very interesting. I love the behaviour pictures that mix well with the stunning portraits.

Love the dogs - you drew me in trying to figure out what they were doing in the pic where they're facing each other - would love to hear what was happening there - almost looks like a shoving match. I've never seen interaction like that before - leave it to you :)
Amazing close ups and birds, birds, birds - wow - again species that I'm not at all familar with - any chance your up for labeling. Well done as always.

Behaviour and action shots are the ones you are looking for but they are difficult to get.


Last month I stayed at the following camps and was guided by the following gentleman:

Mombo (Cilas);
Selinda (Barberton or BB):
Jacana (Moses);
Chitabe (Phinley).

Elephant viewing at the spillway is among the best in Africa - in terms of predators I can't say there is much of a difference between Selinda/Kwando/Linyanti.

Gameviewing at Mombo is still excellent although I think there are better places in Botswana to see a variety of predators. Lions are the dominant cat species there which make seeing the other cats challenging. For instance I didn't see any leopard in a week's time but managed to see three cheetah while there (two different sightings) Because of the size of the prides (sometimes 20+), you seldom see them feeding at a kill (most of the time there is nothing left in the morning when the kill has been made at night).

Chitabe is one of my favorite spots due to two reasons:

Although guides have to work really hard to deliver some goodies, they seldom fail.

If you are coming back after two years, there is still a chance to see many familiar faces (which I like) and I get along very well with them.


There is not much to add in the discussion about the current price levels in Botswana (and other promising safari destinations). I made up my mind long time ago and will act accordingly.

And so you did label, my mistake, I'm a creature of habit who's programmed to look below the pictures. I should have known or at least looked elsewhere, as I know how thorough you usually are.
