single vs. multiple entry Kenya visa - confused
I am applying for a visa before we get into Kenya because we are getting in late. I'm looking at the form I got offline and am wondering about the single vs. multiple entry. We are going to be in Kenya for about 2 weeks but then we are going to Tanzania. However, we fly back out of Kenya which means we'll have to make another boarder cross into Kenya. Does this count as a multiple entry (adding another $50) or is this still a single entry? Its very confusing!

quite clear - you will be entering Kenya twice - so you need a multiple entry visa.
Why would you think it doesn't? Kenya and Tanzania are separate countries. |
A Single entry VISA - $50 for each of you.
A multiple is required if you are traveling to and entering Kenya any number of times outside the Kenya-Tanzania-Uganga triangle. Such as returning to Europe, then back to Kenya, leaving for Asia and then back to Kenya. As a 2-week visitor - Single entry is what you request. |
Just returned from Kenya on 11/15. Flew back to Kenya from Tanzania and had no trouble getting into Kenya and going out for dinner before returning for our 11:20 pm flight to London.
The single entry visa says 'single journey' so you can go to Kenya, Tanzania and back to Kenya. |
Thanks for the clarification. I thought it would be single entry but I wanted to make sure. Passport is in the mail for the visa and hopefully I will see it again!
