Simple electronics (charging) question
Locations: Tanzania, Kenya, Zanzibar
Items: Panny TZ3 battery; iPod mini; cell phone or BB. These do not need converters and I have the necessary adaptors. Question: If I want to buy a multi-plug thing-y to charge these all at once, what do I buy? Thanks Jess |

Do they really ALL have to be charged at the same time. My camera batteries last for days. Nor did my friend have to recharge her iPod daily... she had barely time to use it.
As I don't have any of the others, still wonder whether you're going to be using your cellphone daily to run down the battery? Friend turned mobile off when leaving the States, used once (or twice) while away and it still worked when she landed back in the home 2+ weeks later. Honestly, safari is the perfect place to be "disconnected." |
Sandi, I agree - as a real-life matter. Nethertheless, this is good info for me to have -- just in case: I think Lynda may have mentioned that in some places there is only limited power at limited times....

Brookstone sells an all in one convertor good for everywhere in the world for $25. We were in Argentina in August and is was impossible to find one. So, better to have one just in case. The Brookstone one is quite small.

All the lodges and camps we were at had adaptors.
