Short Trip - Short Report
Three night trip to Lebanon in April.
First day. Visited Byblos and Jeitta Grotto. I liked wandering around Byblos. Very few people. Jeitta Grotto does indeed have impressive caverns. Having said that, touristy. Second day. Baalbek. Fabulous. I had the entire site to myself for over two hours. A must visit destination. No issues with travel in Bekaa Valley. Greatest risk - Lebanese drivers. Anjar was another good visit. Once again, no other visitors. Bottom line. Great places to visit. Only used US Dollars. |
Nice to see someone else visiting Lebanon. Can you also report on where you stayed and where you ate? Did you travel by bus/shared taxi/taxi/tour?

I stayed at the Hilton Nabtoor on points. The property was nice and had a very good breakfast. Unfortunately, due to the current situation, almost no other people at the hotel.
Travel was by a private vehicle that I hired a private vehicle with driver from Hussein, Lebanon Tours, [email protected]. The driver was good, spoke excellent English. I did not have a guide. Price per day was $110 to $130 USD. No lunches, I made a sandwich at breakfast and enjoyed eating them at the various locations. For dinner, some local food at the mall next to the hotel. |
