Sharm Temperatures

I'd like to do some snorkling in mid-march. What kind of temperatures can I expect in Sharm? Also, what is the water like there - blue, calm, choppy?

Thanks.

Day temp in March is around 26-28?C. Snorkeling is possible year round. Blue skies, but lots of (cold) wind sometimes. Most private beaches supply windbreakers.

I was in Hurghada and Sharm el Sheik area in Dec. 2002.

The temperature was quite good while the sun is high in the sky. The water is not cold, and very clear. I'm sure you'll enjoy your diving.

The windy months are from Oct to Dec, and later in the spring, and that wind use to be from the north. I think March will be oK.

Just returned from Sharm where I snorkelled in just a bathing suit.
Water was chilly at first, but not enough to deter me.... the hotel pools, which were not heated, were colder than the Red Sea. We stayed in (me, my 11 and 7 year old daughters)for about an hour at a time. Air temp was about 19 degrees.

I'd imagine in 3 weeks the water would be just gorgeous.
