Seronera Lodge Serengeti - Recent Experiences

Hello,

Any recent experiences here? We are trying to save a bit of $, and are thinking of staying here as opposed to Serena.

Thanks!

We had been there in May/June 2005. It is a nice place , well maintained. Staff is friendly, food is ok. Hot water from 5 in the morning till ( 1:00 I think ) and then back at 5. Generators are shut off from midnight and are back early in the morning. The location of the lodge is ideal if migration is in the seronera area. Definitely recommend it. What month are you visiting serengeti ? Let me know if you need more information .

Not too recent: I was there July 2004 and agree with all serengeti's comments. We also stayed at the Wildlife Lodge at Ngorngoro Crater. We preferred the Wildlife in the Serengeti, so if you're choosing where to spend up and where to spend down, keep that in mind.

Whichever places you choose, you'll more than likely have a fantastic time.

We were there in Feb and enjoyed it very much. I totally agree with serengeti & Leely's comments.

Thanks for the feedback. I also learned that they are under fairly new ownership.

We're about to book for mid-March.
