september/october safari?

my husband and i will be in london for a conference at the end of september. we are thinking of flying out from london to either egypt or tanzania for a safari. is september a bad time to go since it is before the rainy season? can you recommend a good (and reasonably priced) safari in teh serengeti?

thanks.

Message: My wife and I were in Kenya and Tanzania Sept 16 - Oct. 3,l998. We were on a Great Game Park Tour with
a company called UTc. Had a great time.
excellent Land Rover and Guide/drivers.
Stayed at lodges and tented camps. The weather was outstanding with no problems with mosquitos or flys. The grass was low so could see the wild life
better than I ever expected. We saw 32
Lions on the Serengeti in one game drive. Don

I'm not sure what you're asking - a bad time for what? Like Don I had no problems with mosquitos (never saw one) in Tanzania in September but there were a some tsetse flies and ticks.
