SEPTEMBER in the MARA ?? in or out ??

First of all, Thank you everyone for all your opinions and guidance.

I will be spending 5 days in the Mara in Sept. the 2 properties I will be staying at our Naibor and Saruni. Naibor is in the Mara and Saruni is just outside. I can spend the 5 days any way i choose but i'm not sure where to stay?

Saruni - less people.. There's not 10 vehicles everywhere you look trying to watch the same game. However is it too far to actually have ideal game viewing at all? It also seems to be the nicer property of the 2?

Naibor - right in the Mara lots of game, but too many people / vehicles?

Any feedback would be really appreciated!!!!

Interesting...if you search Naibor on Google most reports talk about it being out of the reserve but maybe its a seasonal camp that changes location.

Assuming it us where Eben's map suggests, I think a split between Naibor and Saruni would be a good combination. I'm not actually convonced there will be a signifcant difference in vehicle numbers but neither should be too bad. Game should be excellent in both places.

I know nothing - about either camp. But the next time I go back to the Mara I think I will stay outside of the Mara so that night game drives are possible. I really like sundowners and then following a lion pride as it starts hunting.

We were in the Mara just this past September...stayed outside the park, at Richard's Camp. Several people felt it was too far away to really see the crossing, but that was not true at all. We saw the crossing in all it's glory...something we will never forget. Also, it was not as crowded at all as staying inside the park. We did sundowners and evening game drives and didn't see other vehicles. Loved it!!!
