I am a little confused by your recommendation of Braeside in Swellendam now. Here is my response from them for a stay of one night:

Dear Melissa

Thank you for your enquiry. I have pleasure in confirming the availability
of accommodation as requested.

Arrival: 27 October 2004
Departure: 28 October 2004
Tariffs:1 x African Double/twin room @ R 3500.00 per person, per night,
including breakfast, beer, muscadel and coffee and tea facilities, with en suite bathroom and air conditioner. The twin room has en suite bathroom with bath and shower and the two beds(3/4) could be placed next to one another to form king size bed. The double room has en suite bathroom with shower and queen size bed.

The rooms have coffee and tea facilities, bar fridge(with beer, milk,
ice,ice water -complimentary),100% cotton linen/towels, fresh flowers,
toilettries, clock radio, hair dryer, television(mnet/satellite), muscadel(complimentary) and fan. All our
beds have excellent mattresses.

Breakfast consists of fresh fruit juice, fresh fruit salad, 4 cereals, 4 x
yoghurt, stew fruit, cheese platter/biscuits, pate/cold meats or smoke
fish, variety of breads, croissants, muffins, bacon, sausage, eggs, fried
tomato, mushrooms and onions and fresh ground coffee/tea.(Our breakfast is
all over the world)

Braeside is walking distance of restaurants, hiking trails, historical
buildings and centre of town.

We also have a swimming pool and barbecue facilities for your convenience.

We are looking forward to your reply and to welcoming you here at Braeside.

While I am sure their breakfast is "breakfast is well known all over the world", I think R3500 pp is a little steep! IS their a typo here or am I looney? I went on safari for less than this pp last year....

Your advice is, as ever, appreciated!
