Horrible. Just horrible.
Is there a way to band together and buy a permit? Or some lesser amount that would compensate for the loss directly going to the people? Some amount that would guarantee the permit won't be used? I realize this is alot of money, but it's not like an annual fee. Once an animal is dead, it's dead.
This is just horrific. I am one who benefited up-close-and-personal from seeing those desert ellies and this breaks my heart.
