School Holiday in September 2002

Does somebody knows if there's school holiday in September? Must know if many people are traveling then, so finding cheap accomodation could be a problem or not. Want to travel along east coast.

The school holidays in SA for September are:
Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, Northern Cape & Western Cape: 27/9 to 7/10
Free State, Gauteng, Mpumalanga, North West & Northern Province: 20/9 to 1/10
Most locals take their holidays in December first, then July and then April so very few travel during this period. By the east coast I am guessing you mean KwaZulu-Natal/Indian Ocean coast? You should not have any problems securing accommodation in this area at that time of year. It's not peak season so the rates will be very reasonable - even more so if you are paying in US dollars! A tip to understand local terms: The coastline north of Durban is called the North Coast and similarly, south of Durban is the South Coast. As you continue south on the Indian Ocean coast and the coastline curves towards Cape Town you have the Garden Route.
