Egypt: what two cities?

I have a short time to spend in Egypt (5-6 days). What two cities would make best choices?
Many thanks,

BB

Definitely, Cairo... there is just so much to see and do. You can't even get through the entire museum in this time; nor the bazaar.

With 5 - 6 days you can probably arrange a day or two to go out to one of the oasis nearby - Fayoum (sp), if interested.

I would absolutely recommend Sharm El-Sheikh! It's great diving over there+ great hotels, lots of restaraunts, bars, nightlife. I love Egypt, the Red Sea and Sharm El-Sheikh!

What are you interested in? Resorts, ancient Egypt, Moslem architecture?
