Saturday in Jerusalem
What to do on Saturday in Jerusalem? Is it possible to still do tours? is anything open?
|
There are certainly some restaurants open in Jerusalem on Saturdays(more than there were a few years ago) but still not that many. I found that even some very casual places were extremely crowded and required reservations. Of course, there's also no public transportation, so depending on where you are staying, it might be easy or hard to find things to do. I assume you will not have a car? If so, the obvious thing might be to get out of town :)

You might be able to do a walking tour. Otherwise, not much doing... it's the Day of rest for most of the population here.

The Old City Christian and Muslim quaters are open.
The Israel Museum is open: http://www.english.imjnet.org.il/htm...3185&bsp=12790 You have to check each site for their opening hours. |
The Muslim quarter has plenty of food places open and if you like falafel, you're in luck!!!
