Sandi passed away

I saw on a Trip Advisor thread that Sandi of Serendipity Travel passed away earlier this year. Thought I would mention it on the Africa forum since she used to be a frequent contributor, particularly for East Africa trips. She was so helpful with such thoughtful inputs. Based on some advice that she offered here I sought out her agency for a Kenya trip. She helped us plan a most wonderful trip.

Just thought others would want to know. RIP dear Sandi.

Oh, I'm sorry to hear this. :( Sandi was a great contributor to Fodors for such a long time. I did use her a couple of times for trips to Kenya a decade ago. Just the other day I was wondering where she hangs out now. Thanks for sharing.

Oh, I am sorry to hear this. She helped me plan our trip to Tanzania and it was terrific. She was so helpful with suggestions and patiently answered my countless questions. May she RIP.

So sad to hear this. I had drinks with Sandi in Nairobi once and dinner with her in NYC. She was a tough, feisty woman with a great love for East Africa and Kenya in particular. May she rest in peace.

I am also very sorry to hear this as I was also helped by Sandi's comments.

I was wondering about her just a few months ago.

RIP You have earned your eternal rest :`(

May she rest in peace in the eternal savannah. Bless, with many tears.

I was so sorry & upset upon hearing of Sandi’s passing. Sandi was one of the nicest people. We met a couple of times in NYC. She was incredibly knowledgeable about Kenya & Tanzania & lots of other things as well. We had such nice conversations on the phone as well. Does anyone know what happened?
