safari njema, patty

Patty leaves next Tuesday and I thought that I would send best wishes to her before U.S. fodorites head out for Thanksgiving day/weekend travels.

Have a great (and, of course, safe) trip. Looking forward to hearing your reaction to all of the various spots that you will visit, but Selous in particular.

Oh my, I can't believe it's time for you to go already! Did you decide whether to stop in and see my friends at the orphange?

Patty, have a GREAT trip, can't wait to hear all about it when you get back! We will miss you on the board though!

Have a great trip, Patty!

We may run into each other at NBO on the morning of Dec 13! We arrive at 10:10am from JRO before catching a charter to Shompole at 11am.

You will enjoy Sand Rivers!

Lynda,
I haven't decided yet. We'll play it by ear depending on how much time we have.

Eben,
Not unless our flight is seriously delayed We're on the 7:20am to DAR. Hope we have the opportunity to run into each other somewhere in future travels!

Seems like yesterday that this trip seemed months away and now it's here.

Sounds great, and we need a report on Joy's Camp.

Leave notes everywhere, you just never know who's going to show up where, even if a day or two off.

Have another great safari.

Hi Patty,

Me too, I am leaving for Kenya on Tuesday (Wednesday morning 6.00am) . I'll be flying direct to Mombasa on a chartered flight, arriving Wednesday evening.
No chance of meeting as you will be visiting the north and I will only visit Tsavo (hopefully we'll get there with all that raining goin on!) , Taita Hills
and Diani Beach.
will get to see the place where Corinne Hofman (the white masai) stayed (so many years ago) though.
I will be flying home on Wednesday Dec 6th.
Let me wish us a great trip !

Yes Patty - notes everywhere!

Actually it sounds a little bizarre when someone else writes it, but I'm still convinced it's a good idea.....

For SOME reason I am having a lot of ideas at the moment and the upsurge in my "creative" levels is driving half of my floor at the office crazy. I have provided and supervised implementation of ideas for IT and Training over the past two weeks and am moving in on Admin on Monday. They hate me, the partners love me, everyone thinks I've either won the lottery, taken a young mistress or become a scientologist ..... and I don't care! Why could this be...? :-?

And I actually thought about asking you to put chalk arrows on trees but decided against it (so I am still homo sapiens).

Good luck with Tsavo, Hilde. Hope for all of our sakes that the rain hasn't persuaded the Kenyan elephants to take a holiday in Angola too!
(cf Dennis matnikstym's report)

I am also talking too much at times....

Have a great trip, Hilde!

kimburu,
I'll try to leave a scavenger hunt trail

Here's hoping none of us get flooded out!
