safari lodges southern Africa

Has anyone stayed at any of these: Villa Rosa Inn, Cape Town; A'Zambezi Lodge; Chobe Game Lodge; Treemisana? We were told that in southern Africa, we must purchase our own bottled water, that it is not provided us as it was in East Africa. Is it easily available for purchases in Kruger, Chobe, Vic Falls?

birder57,

You have chosen accomodations that are considered more "tourist" class than "luxurious."

At luxury lodges, for example, not only will bottled water be included, but all of your wine and beer, as well.

Also, with the tourist class accomodations, you will have quadruple the tourists at your Victoria Falls and Chobe lodges than a luxury lodge would have. However, if this is all that your budget allows, the main thing is just getting to Africa.

However, here are examples of "luxury" lodges within your same area that will surely provide bottled water, and much, much more:

Victoria Falls:

Stanley Safari Lodge
Sussi Lodge
Songwe Village
Matetsi Water Lodge

Chobe:

Savute Elephant Camp

Just do a google search and they will pop up.
