Safari Itinerary
Hello! Just got this itinerary for a two week safari next July and would love feedback...we seem to move around more than I thought we should. Any feedback on that or the accommodations would be appreciated!
1 night Nairobi: Norfolk Hotel
2 nights Amboseli: Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge
1 night Lake Nakuru: Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge
1 night Mount Kenya: Mount Kenya Safari Club
2 nights Samburu: Samburu Ashnil Tented Camp
2 nights Masai Mara: Il Moran Tented Camp
2 nights Serengeti: Serengeti Sopa Lodge
2 nights Ngorongoro Crater: Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge

Don't know what Sandi's answers were on TA as I don't visit there often but I'd say you are moving around too much and trying to see too many places. But then perhaps I take it to extremes the other way and stay too long in one place!

If every move takes long enough time that you miss a game drive in the next camp, then you are throwing away 4-6 game drives. Game drives are why you are on safari. Check the camp transfer details. Travel agents don't care how much you move about, their commission is the same based on total number of nights in camps.
Having said that, I simply like 4 or more nights in a camp, less seems too rushed and hectic to me.

Depends upon what you want out of a safari We moved around a lot (see my trip report), but for us, the trip was more than just about game drives, but experiencing the countryside and villages as well.
