Safari in Kruger National Park

My husband and I are planning to be in South Africa for the month of February and would like to take a safari in Kruger National Park for two or three nights. Does anyone have suggestions for hiring a tour that would pick us up in Johannesburg, take us to Sabe on the Panorama Route, and then take us to a good camp and lodging for a safari in Kruger Park.

You can fly to Hoedspruit, Skukuza or Nelspruit direct from JNB or Cape Town. Arrange a transfer through the lodge you choose. Fly to the airport nearest your chosen lodge.

What’s Sabe?

If you share a budget, we can help with lodge options. There are options in all budgets - no need to break the bank unless you choose to.

If you want to do the Panorama Route, you can easily drive yourself. I think Ashton’s does a PR tour but I’m not sure. A private tour will be pretty expensive for the driver’s time both ways and likely an overnight for him/her.

That’s not long enough! If you have a limited budget, consider a private lodge and a self drive in Kruger. It’s not as difficult as it sounds. It’s the best value of any trip I’ve ever done. And it’s addictive - we keep going back. :)

Ashton's tours does road transfers from OR Tambo either to the airport or to your lodge. If the lodge you go to does free transfers from the airport then that would work out great.
Sable tours is great for interlodge or airport transfers.
