Hi Matt,

Thanks for the nice words about the photos. I also have been trying to get a goliath heron for ages, now of course, you want a better one than what you have, so nothing really comes of the wish photo list!

Yes, I do have a good idea of both leopards and lions that have a territory that spans both properties. As the West Street Males were the Sparta Males, the Eyrefield Pride is also the Sparta Pride. I had a few disagreements with the ranger and tracker from Londolozi over the ages of some of those subadult males as we saw them a few times. Also the Tsalala Pride is MM's Marthly Pride, who they now have on the don't see list, even though we saw a lioness with 4 cubs from the Marthly Pride at MalaMala at the beginning of January. Londolozi thought she may have died from wounds from a hyena, though she did bit off her tail to the base. Now, I was reading Simbambili report yesterday and they have seen her there 18 Jan. Wish they would all call them the same name!
Also the leopard seen the most at Londo was the Short Tail Young Male (no relation to MM's Short Tail Male, which was Londo's Sparta Male) and he is actually the Bicycle Crossing Male. So I am getting a better idea of who is who, as I am currently booked back at Londo in July.

Kind regards,
Kaye

Hi Thit_Cho,
I am happy enough with the birds, but then you always think if they are a bit closer when you see them next time, you can do better. I had some great opportunities, but I am way too slow sometimes!

Hi Matt,

I cannot help myself. Lion Sands ranger was very happy to help me, even though I think I learnt Tumbela was Beaumont's Male from you. Londolozi ranger had to be questioned somewhat, but where there is a will there is always a way!

Kind regards,
Kaye
