SA Minster of Health Drunk

Having read so many reports with ex South Africans and pro South Africans like Selwyn whom I do have respect for I thought I would post this.
http://www.sabcnews.com/south_africa...153954,00.html
I am looking forward to all posts as I do enjoy everyones view point.

Well, I guess it can be quite depressing being in hospital...
something not specific to South Africa.

She had a liver transplant ahead of waiting folks. Is that right?

PrincessOfPenguins Aug 13th, 2007 10:56 AM

But... but... she can cure people's HIV/AIDS by feeding them beets!

Selwyn_Davidowitz Aug 13th, 2007 11:27 AM

Manto Tshabalala-Msimang is one of the people who can single handedly bring SA to its knees with her crazy health policies particularly with regard to AIDS. She is an embarrasment second to none and this latest story, let alone the sacking of her deputy by the SA president is a scandal that is far from over. We've all got our problems its seems after all take a look at the man who is suppoosed to be the most powerful man in the world. :)

Very proudly part of the wonderful ((r))nation of South Africa

please please, let's keep this civil. I can just imagine the responses brewing to Selwyn's post.

Krugerlover Aug 13th, 2007 11:50 AM

As a South African I can confidently agree with Selwyn. She is crazy!! Loon! Wants to cure aids with garlic!! I mean please! Her days as minister is coming to a fast end!! Halleluja!!!

cantona7 Aug 13th, 2007 08:36 PM

long may she stay at the helm. i earn foreign currency and she can only make the rand go one way! good for me hey, perhaps i will invest my pounds on a garlic farm? she is an absolute joke!

pixelpower Aug 14th, 2007 01:22 AM

But garlic works!

I eat itevery day, and women stay at least 2m away from me.

(sorry, having a "silly day"...)

While (as it happens) agreeing with both my fellow South Africans Selwyn and Krugerlover, I fail to grasp the relevance of the OP. I thought this was a travel forum. And while travel is obviously impacted by local social norms, politics, whatever, the relevance in this case is IMO at best tenuous.

There is another travel site that used to have "Talk Politics" forum. Presumably to try and keep the focus on travel in other parts of the site. They no longer have that forum, but they do still have a "catch all" forum where such posts are permitted. But most other places the post would be regarded as a troll and would be quickly deleted.

In any event, while clear proof of such an allegation (should it materialise) might not surprise me, the relevant word here is "alleged".

"We've all got our problems its seems after all take a look at the man who is suppoosed to be the most powerful man in the world."

524 days, 13 hours and 45 minutes to go (roughly) ;-)
