Rhino in North Luangwa National Park

Just heard some news from North Luangwa.
The park currently has 5 rhino and looks like they may get an additional 15 soon. That is a huge jump.Must be having a good experience with the 1st introduction.

Heard its been a dry season and they're already building camps. Thats nearly a month ahead of schedule. The Mwaleshi River could dry up to a trickle this season. Should be an excellent year for game viewing.
Buffalo Camp had about 500 clients and expects another good season.
Also, the Manager of the North Luangwa Conservation Project maybe moving on. And that is too bad. He has done excellent work there.

Great, I was there right after they had arrived. Somehow I thought there were more than 5 in the first wave. Thanks for the update and hope they thrive.

Great news for North Luangwa! Now I wish that success (in protecting the park from poachers) could be transplanted back to South Luangwa...
Wish I could go this year...
