returned from Kenya & Tanzania Nov. 15

Just returned a few hours ago and wanted to let you all know that we flew JFK to London and then on to Nairobi. No one asked for proof of yellow fever inoculation. After 7 days we left Nairobi and flew to Arusha, Tanzania. No departure fees and again no one asked for yellow fever inoculation proof.
After a week we left Arusha for Niarobi and were able to send our baggage straight to JFK (on British Air). In Arusha a posted sign notified us that as of July 2005 there is an $8 departure fee. The booth was unmanned and no paid. On arrival in Nairobi we filled out an 'entry form' and put 'duration of stay' 5 hours. We sailed right thru and went to dinner at the Carnivore. (In NY these restaurants are called Brazilian churiascaria. The difference is that in NY they don't have many exotic meats.) When I looked at my passport and examined my visa to Kenya I saw that it says it is good for a SINGLE journey and therefore I was able to reenter and not have to pay for a transit visa. When I wake up will write more
