Recommendations for convent stays in Jerusalem

I a middle aged woman traveling solo to Israel in the fall and would like recommendations for staying at a convent or other religious guesthouse in Jerusalem. I'm prepared for a spartan, no-frills experience, as I consider staying in such places an interesting experience in itself. I don't need television, room service, or a breakfast buffet, but I would like a/c and a private bathroom if one is available. I'd prefer a location near the old city with access to public transportation. Also would appreciate some idea of cost per night. Any ideas? Thank you much!

On my only trip to Israel years ago I looked in at the Anglican Christ Church Guesthouse, in the most perfect location just inside the Jaffa Gate. I resolved that if I were ever to return to Jerusalem I'd make every effort to stay there. You might want to Google it and see what you can find out. It looked very good and was very reasonably priced.
