Ramadam

We are thinking of taking a diving holiday in December to Sharm El Sheik. Can anyone advise as to how much we will be affected by Ramadam in this area of Egypt?

Sarah hello! I suppose Ramadan is very much observed in Egypt. However, a popular tourist destination like Sharm El Sheik cannot afford to have their tourists suffer during a whole month. Tourism is too important for them! Some waiters may be slower, business in general can be slower, but you will not really be aware of a lot of things.
On the other hand, I would definitely observe as well some of the rules and not eat or drink too much in public and never offer a local any food or whatsoever. It will be very embarrassing for him/her, because they are not allowed to eat, drink, etc. until the sun has gone down.
Enjoy Sharm El Sheik. I only hear good things from people who have been.
