R&N Explorer and Cash Deposits?
 

I have read several posts that refer to "R&N Explorer" I looked up the website and was only able to find "R&N Xplorer." Do you know if this is the same tour operator? I have been communicating with them and they want me to make my deposit in cash into an account for my gorilla permits. Does this sound reasonable?

Yes this is the same company. We paid for out permits & trip doing an international bank transfer. If you do a search I think you will find several of us who did this. Is this what you mean?

I recently transferred deposit and final payment to Travelust for Uganda gorilla trek in April.

I used Access Rwanda and paid for my entire trip and permits by bank transfer. I did the same thing for my trip to India. I'll agree it's frightening, but as long as the operator is reputable and licensed with the government, you should be fine.
