Question for rsnyder

Hey, there--
Have I missed your new trip report?
If so, what thread is it under?
I'm eager to read it.

Barbara,

I think the above should do it. Otherwise, it is listed in second group of 50. I may have gotten carried away with menus and the like. But, in any case maybe it will still be of value to those considering trip.

Sorry Barbara, such isn't the address. Simply click on my screen name and scroll down 5 or so entries. Report should be there.

Carla, thanks. Is it any wonder I had difficult time using Internet in Tanzania to send message backhome>

Hi, Dick--
Wow. What a nice trip. I always enjoy your writing. There's so much YOU in it. I was glad to see photos of Darla, and I guess there were a couple of you. I always like to have a face to go with the name.
Was Beth disappointed not to have gone this time? Or is she on to other things right now? College perhaps?
Snakes!! I don't remember coming across so many ( or even any) on the Kenya/Tanzania trip we took two years ago. Probably a good thing. I have an irrational fear of them.
Don't worry about having gotten into the menus so much. Food is so very much a part of the safari experience, and it's interesting to see what the various camps come up with.
As for your photos, this group in my opinion is the best of all your collections. Crisp, vibrant, and well composed. I especially like one of the maned lion--big face--and the hippo whose profile?? was coming up off the left corner of the photo. And your bird pictures are fantastic. I'm going to send your photo link to Eden and Miko, the two birder gals we found ourselves with during our time in Kenya. They're so into birds and Eden is a wonderful photogrpher, I'm sure they'll be interested in and applaud your results. As for those orange sunsets--I had dreamed of seeing some like that. Wanted a blood red one with an elephant or a giraffe silouetted against the sky, but that never happened for us. Maybe this next trip. Botswana, Namibia, and Zimbabwe in September. Can't wait.
In the meantime, I'm enjoying armchairing it through the reports of others. I was out of town when you posted. Thanks for leading me to the post, or should I thank Carla? Well, thanks so much to you both.

Barbara, yes Beth was disappointed to miss the trip. She realized part time work to pay for college was involed. And, as she may do a safari/trip somewhere to "satisfy" an aspect of her studies, she knows we will try to help out.
Thanks for the kinds words on pictures and report. I find myself reviewing them and reliving the trip. Those filed by others are also equally important for those of us with African fever as you very well know.
Dick
