Question about chartering flight between botswana and kruger

i am planning a trip next year to botswana and would really like to add a couple of nights at mala mala. i'm trying to find the most reasonable way to travel from one place to teh next. here are the options that i think are available:

1. rent a car in jburg and drive to mala mala, return to jburg a couple of days later and then fly up to maun.

2. same as above except take a round trip flight from jburg to mala mala. then fly up to maun from jburg.

3. charter a flight that will take us fom jburg up to mala mala, then take us up to the camps ditectly in botswana.

obviously my first choice would be no 3, but im not sure of the costs. has anyone chartered a flight before? any advice on cost/who u used to charter would be appreciated. the fact that there will be 6 people will help keep the cost down but it probably will still be too much.

anyway, if anyone has another suggestion i would appreciate. thx

Hello Bigcountry,

Perhaps you're one step ahead of me, and have done this already. But, if you haven't done so, maybe you could e-mail ILoveAfrica (Sherise).

I don't know Sherise, but followed the URL contained in her e-mail address. That led to the website of Taga Safaris. I see their services include private air charters:

http://www.tagasafaris.co.za/air-charters.htm

I'm guessing Sherise may have held back from saying anything on the forum, because of Fodors' rules against businesses promoting themselves here.

I know nothing about Taga Safaris, but it seems like a place to start.
