Polarized Sunglasses

How important is it to have polarized sunglasses while on safari? I am having trouble finding a pair I like within my price range.

Thanks!

Hello,

The main advantage to polarised sunglasses is helping to reduce glare. I can't have polarised sunglasses with my prescription, but haven't find it to be a problem on the safaris I've taken to Botswana and South Africa.

Cheers,
Julian

I did not have polarized sun glasses when we were on our safari in Botswana and SA and did not miss them. I did always have a hat though in case the sun got too strong.

Hat with wide brim = more important that polarized sunglasses. I don't think mine are. No problem.

Sometimes I wear just a hat, no sunglasses.

Have a great trip.
