What is your purpose in going? History, culture, religion, etc. What are you goals to see in Turkey? If you give us a little more direction, we can provide better input.

Well, we really don't have any goals in our travel adventures, just to have fun experiences and learn about different cultures. So history and culture are definates, religion perhaps if the mood takes us there. We are completely open, just want to see a different parto of the world.

There are plenty of threads on this board regarding itineraries that visitors have taken to Egypt. There is little, if anything, re Syria. Likewise, on the Europe board you will find similar threads regarding travel to Turkey.

Inasmuch as you've indicated (previous posts) that your travel is usually budget, once you've done a search on these two boards and find information that would be helpful, you might find specific details on the Thorn Tree or Lonely Planet message boards.

Hi,
I agree that the Lonely Planet is invaluable when planning a trip.
Email me if you want more help, I am living and working in Egypt as a teacher. [email protected]
