Dear yalegirl:

If you're back from your trip to Morocco...did you end of using Rachid? If so, how was your touring
experience?

Please advise.

Thanks

We are not leaving until March. We did end up hiring Rachid. I will let you know how our trip goes when we get back.

Just returned from our trip to Morocco and Spain. The tourguide we hired Rachid Ouragaga was great. He arranged all of our accommodations which included breakfast and some dinners. He was especially helpful at the start of the trip because the airline lost my luggage. He was able to speak to the airport staff and have my luggage sent to another airport in a town on our itinerary. He also took us to a local store so I could purchase some clothing and sundries to use until I was repatriated with my suitcase 4 days later.
I was able to select our accommodations from a list of riads that he provided. We were happy with each location. All had western bathroom facilities in the rooms. We arrived in Casablanca and headed to Meknes for the night. We spent the next day in the car traveling to Merzouga for our camel ride and overnight in a tent. Rachid was very flexible with our schedule. When we expressed interest in going to a town to hear Gnouma music on our way back to Midelt for the night he worked that into our day. He arranged for us to have a guide in Meknes and Volubilis. He delivered us to Fes in time to meet the rest of our tour group. I would recommend him to anyone looking for an english speaking guide.
