Places to stay in the Dead Sea

Hi,
We will be in Israel the beginning of May and will be driving from Eilat to the Dead Sea to stay for one night. Most of the good reviews were for very expensive hotels. We are primarily looking in Ein Bokek but are flexible about staying elsewhere as long as we're near the beach. Any suggestions?
thank you,
Susan

You have three choices:
1. Hotels in Ein Bokek
2. Kibbutz Guest House in Ein Gedi
3. Youth Hostels in Massada or Ein Gedi

Note that the Youth Hostels have private ensuite rooms, high standards and are open to everyone. The Massada Hostel is very convenient if you intend to climb the snake path at Massada.

Look at www.iyha.org.il

You can make choice from as follows:-
1 Jordan Valley Marriott Dead sea resort
2Kempinski Hotel Ishtar
3 Crowne Plaza Jordan Valley dead sea resort
4 Winter Valley Warwick hotel & spa

These are excellent hotels and their services.

Thank you for your replies. Jordan is not possible because we will be driving a rental car and can't enter Jordan with it.
