Pictures from Daphne Sheldrick Animal Center

This incredible elephant orphanage was featured on 60 Minutes last night.

I appreciate it 1000 times more now than even when I was there in October 2005.

The cameras used here were a Pentax point and zoom, a Nikon N70, and a Sony 1MB camera on my MiniDV Cam. Can you tell which is which?

Thanks for sharing.

And, I can't tell the difference between the three cameras -- the gap is closing between top end and point-and-clicks.

Like Wayne I took loads of ellee pics when we visited. There are many days when I need to "just chill" I click on these in my photo album and simply chuckle at how cute they are. And how fortunate there is someone as Dame Daphne Sheldrick saving these chubbies!

Thanks for your pics, Wayne!

Sharon,
Is there any way you could change your Nairobi-London flight to the following day?

What was great about this visit was that this was the first wildlife thing we did in Africa. We had just landed in Nairobi the night before. So this prepped us for what was to come.

I can't believe they lose HALF of the babies that come in
