Great pics!

Did you enjoy the Ngong House? Is Paul still running it, and are Junior and Skippy still there?

Cyn - Paul is still running the joint. Met his charming wife Penny, in her wonderful shop with amazing individually made custom clothing; and her jewelry items. I asked, but sorry, she doesn't have a website.

Skippy yes, who actually sat at my feet during breakfast. Something about me and animals - we communicate! No Junior about.

The most amazing dinner, I shared with a couple from North (or South) Carolina currently, though they've lived everywhere. After the two appetizers we were all quite satisfied, yet and main course was still to come... positively outstanding, and the dessert, no words!

And I still came home 5/lbs lighter

So glad to hear Paul is still there - I wasn't sure if he would stick with it. The last I knew, the recipes were all Christof's - and the food was amazing.

Junior may have passed - he was old when we were there. Skippy was the dog that joined us in our room, and decided he was going to stay - it was very comical trying to convince (pushing, pulling, shoving, pleading...) a 100+ pound dog that he really had to leave.

They have signs that specifically advise guests "do not allow the dogs into your room."

Dana -

If you ask, I tell. Nail color is Brucci's "Intrigue" (most apropos... a soft coral). Used to wear Revlon's Coral, but being Revlon as soon as you find something of their's that you like... oooops, discontinued

Brucci can be found at your local beauty supply such as CVS, Duane Reade, Walgreens, (whatever is local to your area)... inexpensive, less than $2.

GREAT pics Sandi! What a cool treat to sleep with a genet! Beautiful places you chose this year. Glad it was only a broken nail this time and not a major problem like last year...knee? Not holding my breath for a trip report but know it will come someday! Thanks!

Sandi - I loved the pictures. Especially of the accommodations - always good for future reference! I'm not a bird expert, but I think the unidentified bird is a yellow-throated longclaw.

I'm glad others commented on your elegant appearance!! My first reaction was how tidy you look. How do you do it? I was a dusty mess throughout our safari!

Thank you Sandi - not only a good safari color, but one I think would look fabulous here in summer! Got to find out those things when ya can!
The pictures are getting me through a lull now so I really am enjoying them! d.

Great topi shots. I never see a bunch of topi together. I usually just see the lone topi standing on a hill.

Sandi, great photos. It took me a few sessions, but I finally looked at all of them (there are so many).

Lynda, my new photos have sneaked into a thread, but Fodorites aren't officially allowed to see them yet.
