Great photos, Jack! I loved that you included many non-wildlife photos - the cow in the hut, the two guys on top of the truck, the hot air balloon - all great shots! I liked the huge troop of baboons crossing the road and the flamingos too (I hope to be able to capture some similar shots when I'm at Nakuru). Thanks for posting these.

Thanks, Patty. The flamingoes at Lake Nakuru were unreal, literally thousands of them. There were also a great many white pelicans, and some Cape buffalo were on the shore of the lake (but not so close that we had to stay in the vehicle). There were also a couple of fish eagles in a tree close by. Lake Nakuru was one of my favorite places for the whole two week safari and we covered much of Kenya and Tanzania.

Jack, some very nice photos! Particularly liked the ones of the cape buffalo and Mt Kilimanjaro. You saw a bit more of it than we did in June 2004 trip. And, I appreciated your taking the time to add captions to photos. Adds to my enjoyment especially when I might be viewing pic of unfamiliar wildlife or setting. I trust the return next year will be even more meaningful. Thanks again. Dick

Dear Jack,

Thanks for sharing the photos. We are traveling to Kenya/Tanzania for 24 day safari in January. This has been a lifetime dream about to come true. Seeing your photos and realizing that we will be visiting many of the same places has brought tears to my eyes. Thanks for the wonderful experience!!!

Thanks everyone for the very nice comments. To those about to go, I hope the photos whet your appetite, and I know you'll have a wonderful trip; to those who have been, I'm real happy that the photos brought back fond memories!
