Photos from Zambia - May2007

Hi all - I've started loading some photos from my recent trip. I still have hundreds languishing on my Epson P2000. They don't seem to want to get onto my computer. Working on it. These are nothing fancy - just thought you might like to see what I saw! HoPe the link works and doesn't cause problems on the site....

Cheers,
Sharon

Sharon,

Some nice images in good light.

I particularly like the buff from the canoe.

Which camp did you prefer Kiango or Tafika? How are John & Carol Coppinger going? Does John still take the micro-light up?

Hi Sharon,
Loved your photos, especially the baby ellies. You have a shot similar to Eyelaser's with that little one trying to get up the riverbank, too cute!

Looks like a fabulous trip. Do you mind posting your itinerary here or a link if you have already posted it. And I will send along a pep talk to your other photos to get onto your computer.

Glad to see you on the board more often.

Some nice images there Sharon. What camera/lens combo? How has the bush recovered from the recent flooding?
We'll be at Kaingo & Tafika (15 nights) in 11 weeks. ;-)
Whether we recover our US$3000 deposit or not!

Cheers
Marc

Wow! Great photos. Beautiful light, fantastic subjects.
We are going to SL next year so would really appreciate a trip report once you're over your post Africa withdrawal/depression.

Love your photos! I'm glad to see you back on the forum again. I missed you. Since I'm the "feline specialist" I missed having another "cat" around!

HI Sharon, thanks so much for sharing these wonderful photo's. What camera and lens did you use?

My husband and I spent 2006 in the Luangwa Valley managing a camp - these photo's made us home sick for Zambia.

Cheers

Great pictures, especially the serval.

How did you get your photos in the separate Olympus section of Kodakgallery -- I have never seen the camera identified in the link? I'm not sure it has any relevance, but I'm curious? Thanks

Thanks for all the kind words! I will get to your questions as soon as I can. Still no luck with that dang Epson. Carla - can you send a stronger message/pep talk please?

Nice shots--you had a good trip. The Cookson's Wildebeest is not that common. The lion was up in the tree?

These are lovely pix! Just gotta ask about that Epson -- aside from your current frustration, are you glad you bought/brought it? I'm leaving (for Zambia) in three weeks and am on the cusp of the buy/don't-buy-the-Epson decision.

Forget the Epson, and buy the Jobo Giga View Pro Evolution. Yes, I know it's a mouthful, but if your shooting RAW, it's a better proposition than the Epson, much faster and better screen (IMHO) ;-). It is expensive and (sometimes) hard to get, the 40Gb model starts from US$450-470.
Some info/reviews here-

BTW: I don't work for Jobo, just my opinion & experience ;-)

Cheers
Marc
