Dagactor asked if I made it to Phinda and I responded that I had not and told her that I instead went to Zambia and the Sabi Sand. From there, Jiggylou chimed in with Zambia and once I had a Zambia partner it was a successful threadjacking...until MV came along to kill the high.

When do you leave for Mala Mala? You should be leaving anyday now, right?

16 days until we fly to London. I'll be at MM on 1/16. Have just had a spectatular holiday season at work and am looking forward to the break. We have friends we met there in 2003 joining us for seven of the eight days and this time our target is 175 birds. We are even going to do a big day, seeing as many birds as we can on two drives, I suppose we'll stop birding for the occasional Leopard, but we intend to have a very hard core birding day. Got to go, there's a Red Phalarope at a local reservoir, so I'm off to see it.
