Patty, Leely, leaving soon?

I thought it was getting close to your departure. Hope I didn't miss it, but then that would mean you'd already be there, which would be good.

Safari njema to you.

Thanks, Lynn and Marija! Mark and I are leaving on Tue. Leely should've gotten to Kenya yesterday.

Well, here I was worried about ash cloud and a little ole thunderstorm has stopped us! We were supposed to leave ATL 3.5 hours ago!

Have a grand time.

I'm practically in tears reading about everyone's trips since we had to cancel our Southern Tanzania adventure in Aug.

We're routing through DXB now. I've never been to Dubai. What's there to do between 10:00pm and 2:00am? Getting to NBO morning of the 17th (I hope).

Big thanks to Joyce for reshuffling our Nairobi reservations while I was on the plane (I'd booked the Nairobi hotels myself)!

Of course this is the first time in over a year and a half that I've checked a bag!

Sorry to read that your trip is off LA. Will you be able to reschedule? Can you still come to Burma with us?

Marija, I can't reschedule Africa right now (sniff) due to a rearranging of financial assests. (How's that for vagueness?)But come hell or high water I will go to Burma with the Fododderers. Could be more interesting than wild animals, even more dangerous.

Patty, if your clothes don't arrive you can change your new safari idea to "Naked Game Sit".

We're here! 38 hours after we left LA. More surprisingly, our bag is here! No need for Naked Game Sits

LA, glad to read that the hangup is financial, not physical, asset rearrangement. Hope Burma happens.

Oh rats, Patty -- glad your bag made it, but if not that would have made for a really interesting trip report!

A Burma GTG--how fascinating.

I would not let found luggage interfere with naked game sits.

Marija, myphysical assets have been rearranging themselves on their own for some time.
This is why I will not be doing Naked Game Sits.
You have to read Ekscrunchy's Burma trip report to get the drift Lynn. A good group.

I've been trying without success to get Lynn to do a Chicago GTG. Maybe she'll join us in Burma. Do reconsider Chicago Lynn, it would be fun!

It appears I have been appointed. That's something I could work on--somewhere accessible by Amtrak, L, and feet.

That would be great, Lynn. There are enough of us in the area that I think we could give those Canadiens some competition. Let me know what I can do to help.
